| 京都議定書、バリロードマップ、果てはエコバッグや省エネ。 まったくのムダとは言いませんが、焼け石に水、というよりも噴火口にしょんべん、という気がします。 産業革命で導火線に点いた火が、もう爆薬に到達しているのでしょう。 今世紀中には現在の社会、経済を維持できなくなるのではないでしょうか。 氷河が溶けようと白熊が絶滅しようと、世界を動かしている人々にはどうってことありません。 そしてそれは本当にどうってことではなくて、人間にとって本当に恐れるべきは、生活できるエリアが減ることと、それによる経済への影響です。 市場経済が崩壊しない限り、誰も本気では環境問題に向き合わないでしょう。 本気で向き合うとは、自国の経済や国力、そして自由を削ってでも環境の維持を優先することです。 社会が崩壊して無政府化するのか、人類が自発的に社会を変えていくのか、あるいは戦争により自滅するか、いずれにしてもナウシカやマッドマックスで描かれているような『終末後』の世界を、現実のものとして想像しなければならない、、、、そんなふうに思います。残念ですが。 『終末後』にいかにソフトランディングするか、何を残せるか、そんなことを考えるべきかもしれません。 不吉なことを言っておいてなんですが、皆様良いお年を。 口直しに先日書いたクリスマスメールを添付します。 Let us wish for year 2008 that violence be defeated by the power of love, that opposition be replaced by reconciliation, that the desire to dominate be transformed into desires for forgiveness, justice and peace.
